Welcome to our UK Mini Bonsai Group website.
What is a mini bonsai?
All bonsai are small trees aren't they? Well on our website we will showcase bonsai between 5cm and 15cm in size, this will cover Japanese categories of Shito (up to 5cm), Mame (up to 10cm) small Shohin (up to 15cm).
There are many people in the UK who keep these wonderful mini trees, but there are no clubs devoted just to these. So we aim to change that with this website and our UK Mini Bonsai Group.
We will update the site with information and pictures related to this topic, ie, trees, pots, display, suiseki, tenpai and mini landscapes. We don't know it all, I am sure there are many more people with information and knowledge to share. This website is a resource for anyone with an interest in mini bonsai to get involved. We will put on our own dedicated shows and smaller displays as a group at other shows around the country.
